Beauty Haul: Profusion Eyeshadow Palettes and e.l.f. Bath & Body Lotion

I went to Ross last night, and as soon as I walked in, I headed towards their gift sets.  I was digging through their stuff when I came across  a few goodies – Profusion eyeshadow palettes and products by e.l.f. cosmetics.

Wow, there was  a lot of products by e.l.f. cosmetics.  I didn’t even know Ross carried e.l.f.  They had their nail polish sets, mineral makeup, and lotions.  I ended up getting their Pineapple Mango Nourishing Body Lotion for $2.99.  Yummy…it smells so good!

Anyways, I had never heard of Profusion cosmetics and I wasn’t sure whether to buy these palettes or not.  But these eyeshadow palettes look like the ones from Coastal Scents and they’re extremely cheap.  So, I was like “what the heck I’m going to buy them.”

Ross had many sized Profusion palettes to choose from.  I picked up their two biggest eyeshadow palettes.  I got the 88 Pro Eyeshadow Palette for $5.99 and a 98 color eye palette for $7.99.

The eyeshadows from the 88 eyeshadow palette are smaller and a bit more sheerer then the eyeshadows on the 98 eye color palette.  The eyeshadows on both sets are very creamy and beautiful.

I know many of you will want to know how these palettes compare to the ones from Coastal Scents. Unfortunately, I don’t own the Coastal Scent palettes.  Boo hoo!

Anyways, I went on YouTube to look for video reviews.  Luckily, I found a video by the lovely eyeshadowanonymous where she compares the 88 eyeshadow palette by Profusion to the 88 eyeshadow palette by Coastal Scents.

Have you had a chance to try any of these makeup brands? I would love to hear what you thought about them…

My friend had eyeshadow by Profound/Profusion. It was in a round jar type case with about 6 or 8 different shadows, all having thier own brush, called eyeshadow and glitter. I was wondering if and or where I can purchase this…Any info would be appreciated……Thank you…….

Hi Liz…Besides ROSS I’m not sure what other stores carry this brand. But the item that I think you’re talking about is currently listed on ebay as: Profound Ultra Shimmer 8 Color Eye Shadow. Hope that helps ^_^

I went to Ross and purchased a 48 and 98 color pallet. These eyeshadows look simply gorgeous. I would suggest to apply your eyeshadows with a brush. Women step your game up and wear more different colors with your outfits. MUCH LOVE,SISTAH MICK,LA MARQUE,TEXAS

I went to a big flea market last weekend and there was a booth there selling Profusion cosmetics…they had everything from foundation to eyeliner…the girl swatched a color of eyeshadow on my hand and sprayed it with water and wiped it and it stayed on, she did this 4 times and it never smeared or came off! All the makeup was $5 each or 4 for $20…i don’t usually buy makeup that cheap but thought what the heck and got a small eyeshadow palette (24 colors) and i have to say that these little eyeshadows pack a big bang for your buck! they are so pigmented and rich and smooth and i don’t get creases like i do with even my MAC eyeshadow…i was just super surprised. I went to ross today and saw 2 different 98 color sets for $7.99 each so i bought both, plus a profusion cosmetic book with eyeshadows, blushes, and lip glosses…it all seems very good for the price. I noticed the company has a website, i believe it was profusioncosmetics.com and the same palette i bought was $9.99 on the site so not much of a difference on what i paid at ross. I just wanted to say that you can’t always think cheap makeup sucks…i kinda had that mindset (i think it’s from those years of getting those makeup giftsets from jc penney and walmart that suck lol)….anyway, if you were unsure whether or not it was a good buy, the answer is yes :)

I ordered the Ultimate Blockbuster Pallet on August 1st, my daughter had bought it at a Walgreen’s in Florida and I fell in love with the colors. I just had to have it. Unforutunately I received an email that the eyeshadow had been delivered on the 5th, but I actually never received it. I sent on http://www.profusioncosmetics.com and they aren’t answering my e-mails. Has anyone had any problems ordering from this website? I’ve paid and I really want what I ordred. :0(

Wow, I would’ve been devastated if I didn’t get my item. Have you tried calling them about it? But you know if they can prove that they sent it out to you, I don’t think they’re responsible for lost packages. I might be wrong though.
