Bronzers & Blushes

Ugh! The name I wanted for my online business is taken! I did come up with a few backup names but now, I have no idea which of the three names to choose. **Sigh.
I have three sisters and I asked each one of them what name they liked best and guess what?  They each liked a different name!  Lol.  I guess my mini poll was pointless.

Anyways, I went to CVS last night and I picked up a couple of goodies.  Hahaha!  My hubby was like, “do you really need more makeup?”  I was like, “YES!”

My CVS mini haul consists of a Milani Mineral Blush in mai tai and a Milani nail polish in creme brulee.

Oh, mommy like!

The color of this blush is a peachy pink.

I LOVE this shade of nail polish (creme brulee)!  Makes me feel like I just got a manicure.

Physicians Formula is one of my favorite drugstore makeup brands. So far, I’ve loved just about every item that I have tried from their makeup line. And I really like my new Physicians Formula Bronze Booster Glow-Boosting Pressed Bronzer, ($14.95).

physicians formula-bronze booster-glow-boosting pressed bronzerIt’s a fragrance free pressed bronzer.  It comes in three shades: fair to light, light to medium and medium to dark.  It’s formulated with micropearls, vitamins and antioxidants.

After having read online that the light to medium shade was really light, I still went out to CVS and got it in light to medium.  Guess what?  It’s amazing!  The shade is perfect for fair skin and it the hint of sparkle gives you a healthy looking glow.

The compact itself is beautiful.  It comes with a large mirror and a brush.  The brush is a little rough but works well for quick touch ups.

This stuff makes you look naturally tanned; not orangey and dirty.

Bronzer Booster  is more matte than it is shimmery.  So, it’s great for contouring.

Jemma Kidd Chic Cheeks Powder Blush, ($21)

Chic Cheeks by Jemma Kidd comes in three shades: London, Paris and New York.  Out of the three shades I chose the rosiest of the three, Paris.

The blush is a pressed powder and it doesn’t come with a mirror or a brush.  The packaging is a clear, plastic compact.

I’m not a huge fan of clear cases, but this one is really cute.  Unlike other compact cases, this case seems to be made out of a thick, durable plastic material.  For the price, I hope it doesn’t break easily.

The blush isn’t very shimmery, which is a good thing.  The powder is ultra-fine and incredibly soft to the touch.

Have you heard of the saying “a little goes a long way?”  This is true for this blush, a little is all you need for a beautiful, long lasting color.

You don’t have to dig into the surface of the blush to get a good amount of product.  I barely touched the blush with my brush and I picked up a lot of color.  thebeautyofmakeup.com

Anyways, I love this color but I wouldn’t wear it for a day look.  I usually tend to wear natural, less noticeable blush colors during the day.  But since most night looks consist of bolder and trendier colors, I would definitely consider using this shade of blush.
