Creams & Lotions

I’ve been using POND’S Cold Cream for a couple of weeks now and so far I think it’s pretty good.  I don’t use it as my primary moisturizer.  I use it to remove the makeup and dirt that my face wash missed.

This is what I do:

  • Wash face with cleanser
  • Dry face with a clean towel
  • Apply POND’s Cold Cream to face and neck
  • Remove cream with a damp, warm wash cloth or tissue
  • Apply eye cream or face cream (optional)

I like using POND’s Cold Cream, because it does remove what my face cleanser didn’t take off and it moisturizes.  In the morning, I wake up with a super soft face and neck.

Two things I don’t like about this cold cream:

  1. The smell, it’s not awful but I just wish it didn’t have it.
  2. It makes your face look shiny.

Regardless of the two reasons I gave above, I still think this is a good cold cream.  But I do think it’s important that you only use this cream as part of your night time routine; unless, you love a shiny face during the day.

So what do you think?  Have you ever used this classic cold cream?

vaseline-body lotion-vaseline aloe vera-spf 15

Over the weekend I picked up a  bottle of this amazing, aloe-liscious moisturizer.  What an impressive body lotion!  I’m talking about Vaseline Aloe Fresh.  It’s very lightweight, it absorbs quickly into the skin and it comes with SPF 15.

I don’t know about you, but I prefer to buy lotions with SPF already in them.  Why?  Well I always remember to apply lotion to my body but I usually forget to apply sunscreen.  And buying a product with sunscreen already in it just makes it easier to get some type of sun protection for my skin.  You know?

Anyways, I love that this moisturizer doesn’t leave your skin feeling sticky or greasy; instead, it gives your skin the nourishment and protection that it needs.

And another good thing, it doesn’t smell like sunscreen.  It has a fresh scent to it that makes you feel and smell really clean.

I give this body lotion two thumbs up!
