Lip Gloss & Lip Balms

Its hard!  I’m talking about winter on your lips.  The cold winter days can strip your lips of much needed moisture, leaving them looking like two dried up raisins.  However, you can minimize the negative effects cold weather has on your lips by moisturizing and protecting them with a good lip balm.

To get you started, here are 3 of the best lip balms that I’ve used and have worked wonders on my lips:

1.  Carmex Strawberry Lip Balm, SPF 15

This is one of my favorite lip balms to use.  There is no better lip balm to heal sore, cracked, dry lips than Carmex.  It smells, and tastes like strawberries.  Yum!  But you can also get it in cherry or in their original flavor.  I simply prefer their strawberry flavored one.

This lip balm protects, nourishes and it gives your lips a nice, healthy sheen.  So what else can I say besides “I love Carmex?”   Because I truly do love it and I highly recommend it.

On top of everything else, its inexpensive ($1.50) and it’s a true beauty find.

2.  Burt’s Bees Beeswax Lip Balm

This is another wonderful product for your lips.  This stuff helps protect and heal chapped lips.  It nourishes and makes your lips really soft.

This particular lip balm doesn’t have a tint to it, it goes on clear and it gives you a little teeny bit of shine.  I love the cooling, tingly effect that this lip balm gives your lips.

You would think that this lip balm would smells like honey, but it doesn’t.  It smells like peppermint and I like it.   You know what else is great about Beeswax Lip Balm?  Well, one application is enough to keep your lips moisturized all day!

Okay, so if you can’t find Carmex, I definetely recommend you give Beeswax Lip Balm a try.

3.  Cococare 100% Cocoa Butter

Have you smelled cocoa butter before?   Yeah!  That’s what this stuff smells like.  This is another one of those products that anyone can use.  It works really well,  it’s not sticky and it doesn’t make your lips shiny.  It just makes them super soft and wonderful.

However, this product doesn’t have any SPF in it, so I recommend you use this as an overnight lip moisturizer.
