The Good
- Love the compact and the powders heart design, both are very cute!
- It has a sweet fragrance. To be honest, I didn’t even notice the scent until I read the description on Physicians Formula website. I don’t know why I didn’t notice it at first because now that I know that it’s there, I can really smell the violets. The good thing is that once it’s on the scent is almost gone.
- Each of the hearts has its own color and shimmer. When you swirl them together and apply it to your face it gives you a shimmery finish without looking like a disco ball or oily.
- It can be used as a highlighter.
The Bad
- It comes with a little brush (forgot to take pictures). Anyways, I don’t use it, it’s scratchy and I rather use my powder brush.
- Only comes in four shades: translucent, beige, light bronzer and bronzer.
- It doesn’t give good coverage so I use this as a setting powder.
- Applying this makeup didn’t make me feel any happier.
Love it or Hate it
I like the packaging , actually I love it, it’s so cute and girly. The face powder is nice as a setting powder but it didn’t even out my skin tone. I say get this if you are looking for a face powder to set your foundation with and give your face that natural glow. Skip this if you want something with more coverage.

Curved Brush:

Directions For Use:
- Always treat applicator with same sanitary care you give your eyes
- Reserve it for personal use
- Cap tightly after each use
- Do not dilute mascara with any additive
- Do not use any eye cosmetic if your eye is irritated, injured, or infected
- Consult with an eye doctor in case of an eye injury
PROS:
- The extremely low price!
- Doesn’t flake off
- It makes lashes very glossy
CONS:
- This mascara did nothing for my lashes, it didn’t create length or volume and it didn’t curl my lashes!
- It is very wet going on
- When applying it to my lashes, it would smudge on my lids
Bottom Line:
What attracted me to Rimmel Extra Super Lash was the price. But besides it being very affordable, this mascara doesn’t deliver on all of its claims. Besides adding a bit of color to my lashes, I didn’t see it do anything spectacular to them: no length, no volume and no curl! So if you have an option of buying a different mascara, I would encourage you to do so.
I don’t recommend it!

CARGO TexasLash Mascara, ($20)
TexasLash™ Mascara is a maximum lash volumizing formula that produces Texas-sized lashes in just one coat! The fat, oversized brush allows for easy application in a single coat. The unique formula creates high volume lashes in an instant. TexasLash™ Mascara doesn’t flake, smudge or run!
My thoughts:
This mascara is okay. It didn’t smudge and it’s highly pigmented. However, I didn’t get instant volume, it was drying and it made my lashes look and feel stiff. The brush is extremely big, I kept getting mascara on my eyelids and it applied too much mascara on to my lashes, which was very annoying. So just be careful with this brush. Also, I didn’t like that it flakes. Within a few hours of wearing this mascara, I kept feeling like I had something in my eye. I had to constantly rub my eyes and pull out my compact mirror or run to the nearest mirror and check for flakes inside my eye. Not a great feeling. Overall, this mascara wasn’t as wonderful as I thought it would be.

Maybelline Cover Stick Corrector Concealer
, ($5.99). Excellent coverage in an easy-to-manage stick.
- Completely conceals blemishes, dark circles and other imperfections
- Waterproof
- Can be worn alone or under foundation
- Color Correctors: yellow corrects dark circles, green corrects redness
For Best Results:
Dot or glide onto your skin to conceal imperfections. Blend lightly with your fingertips until skin looks smooth.
My thoughts:
I bought this concealer because I was out and I felt like trying something new and inexpensive.
So…
The coverage is good. I mean, it didn’t completely cover my dark under eye circles (most concealers don’t anyways, not even those expensive, high-end department store products) but it did minimize their appearance and I couldn’t be happier.
Even though this concealer is somewhat thick, it goes on very smooth and I had no trouble blending it. I didn’t experience any creasing and it didn’t settle into fine lines. And best of all, it’s cheap and super long lasting.
The only problem with this concealer is that there aren’t that many shades to choose from. I bought this concealer in medium beige and the color is okay but it would’ve been perfect if they had a shade in between light beige and medium beige. Also, just be careful when you apply more than one layer of this stuff, because if you layer it too many times it can start looking cakey. But if you’re only trying to cover a few flaws then this stuff works wonders.
Overall, for what it costs, this concealer works well.

Revlon Colorstay Mineral Blush and Mineral Bronzer
($13.99) ColorStay™ Mineral Blush & ColorStay™ Mineral Bronzer contain skin loving minerals that are good for your skin and ColorStay™ longwear technology that lasts for up to 16 hours. This innovative mineral baked powder technology applies easily and blends seamlessly for natural looking, sheer, soft radiant color that won’t streak or fade all day.
- Formula is non-irritating and fragrance free.
- Available in 3 Blush and 2 Bronzer shades
My thoughts:
This blush is okay, nothing spectacular about it. It’s just another sheer, mineral blush. I have it in Roseberry and it’s the perfect rosy shade. It does give my face a nice, natural looking flush.
However, I hate that it’s NOT long lasting and it doesn’t blend easily. And the few times that I used this blush, I had to reapply half way through the day.
This blush isn’t cheap, it’s not great and I know for a fact that you can pay a lot less and get a BETTER blush. Anyways, I won’t be buying this blush again. And nope, I don’t recommend it!
