Pond’s Cold Cream: The Cool Classic that removes make-up as it thoroughly deep cleans.

What does it do?
The classic rich cream deep cleans down to the pores to remove even the most stubborn make-up and impurities, while leaving skin soft and smooth.

How does it work?
Cold cream cleans thoroughly and gently, without stripping or drying and without harsh detergents. It’ll add essential moisture to dry skin, without leaving residue.

My thoughts:
Cold Cream is a great product that has been used as a makeup remover for years. I began using this at first because my mom always had a jar of Pond’s Cold Cream to clean and moisturize her face and neck with. I continued using this everyday, I believe it’s been over 14 years now, I’m not sure. Anyways, I really like this cold cream it’s inexpensive, it removes ALL of my makeup and it softens my skin.  Best of all, it doesn’t cause my skin to breakout!

I usually wash my face with a facial cleanser and then use a dab of cold cream to remove anything the face wash didn’t take off. Trust me, most face washes aren’t that great at removing all of your eye makeup (especially mascara and eyeliner), but with a little cold cream it all comes right off.

Two things I don’t like about this cold cream:

  1. The smell, it’s not awful but it’s strong and I wish it didn’t have it.
  2. It makes my face look shiny and greasy.

Regardless of the two reasons I gave above, I highly recommend POND’S cold cream.  But I do think it’s important that you only use this cream as part of your night time routine; unless, you love a shiny face during the day. ;) However, if you do use this cold cream during the day, you can dust a little face powder to minimize any shine.

What product(s) do you use to remove stubborn makeup?
