MAC Pigments are the ultimate multi-tasking cosmetic. This highly-pigmented colored loose powder is available in many shades and you can also mix them together to create your own custom color.

Pigments are sold in screw-top jars that seem to contain more powder than you can ever use in one lifetime. A tiny amount of these goes such a long way, which helps justify the price somewhat. The textures vary somewhat, from the finely milled Fairylite to the downright chunky Kitschmas but overall they are all easy to blend and work with. The lighter shades are very forgiving when it comes to application so it doesn’t require great skill to get a good look with pigments. However, if you’re very artistic, you can create some really impressive looks with pigments.

Using them as eye shadow is a no-brainer. Just dip your brush into the pot, apply, and go. Golden Olive is a pretty yellow-green with gold shimmer that looks great on the eyes and is unlike any color you can find in powder shadow. A darker shade like the silvery dark grey Dark Soul is great as a crease color for creating a smoky eye.
You can also use pigments wet as eyeliner which intensifies the color even more. In the case of Dark Soul, it becomes more like pewter when wet and lines the eyes effortlessly.
Just about every imaginable cosmetic application is possible with pigments when you mix them into your other makeup. If you have a liquid liner with a formula that you love but need a change of color, mix some pigment into the liner to create a new shade. Dark shimmery colors such as Grape and Forest Green add some life to otherwise dull black mascara.
Pigments like the pink with gold shimmer Rose, the beige-gold Jardin Aires and the golden peach Melon help transform your existing nail polishes, cream blushes, and lip glosses into completely different colors altogether.
Several pigment shades are perfectly suited for use as a highlighter. Vanilla is perfect as-is to highlight the browbone. Shimmertime is pretty dusted on the cheeks over blush. Naked is subtle enough to mix in with your foundation or moisturizer for an all-over glow.

I currently use MAC Paint Pot in Soft Ochre. I really like this shade, it’s a yellow beige that almost disappears against my skin and I just LOVE useing it as an
