Before you can even start thinking about foundation colors, you need to decide what type of coverage you need.
- Sheer Coverage: Best for a light, natural coverage.
- Moderate Coverage: Best for those of us that want to hide minor imperfections such as a few tiny scars, acne, or skin discoloration.
- Full Coverage: Best for skin that may need extra coverage. This kind of foundation coverage is a good choice for downplaying burns, birthmarks, bruising and scars.
Okay, after you have decided on the coverage that is best for you, it’s time to focus on finding the perfect shade. The best way to do this is by conducting a stripe test.
- Choose three hues that closely match your skin tone.
- Dab a stripe of each shade on your jaw.
- Always look at the stripes of colors in natural daylight.
- The right foundation color will disappear into your skin, NOT change its color.
However, if you can’t find a shade of foundation that perfectly matches your skin then go with a shade that is slightly darker.

Hi ladies. Hope your day is going great. My day is so so. I have a lot of things to do around the house but ugh, I’m just not in the mood to do any of them. Yeah…I know…I’m lazy…hahaha.
Anyways, a few days ago I purchased Revlon’s ColorStay Brow Enhancer and I must say I’m sold on this friggin product. I’ve used it almost everyday since I bought it.
So…
Revlon’s ColorStay Brow Enhancer has two ends to it. One end is a tinted wax and the other end is a highlighter.
The luminous highlighter accentuates the brow bone area and it gives it a lifted appearance.
This particular highlighter comes in taupe, a light but very luminous light brown. It’s perfect to use with just about any eyeshadow shade.
The tinted wax formula colors and sets brows for a soft definition.
I have dark eyebrows, so the best choice for me was the brow enhancer with the tinted wax in blackened brown. And I really like that this stuff is highly pigmented but not overwhelming.
My brows don’t look crazy dark, you know? They don’t look like I just grabbed a dark eyeliner or even worst a sharpie and filled them in.
This dual-ended brow enhancer is extreamly easy to use and its fool proof. Hahaha, I’m sorry but I think it’s hard for someone to make a mistake with this product.
Okay, here’s how to use it:
First, apply all of your face and eye makeup. Next, fill in your brows with the tinted wax by following the natural shape of your eyebrows. Then apply luminous highlighter below your brow. And if you want, and I recommend that you do, take a brow brush and brush your brow hairs into place.
Easy, right?
Revlon ColorStay Brow Enhancer is suppose to last for 16 hours. I have no idea if it actually does. I don’t wear my makeup nearly that long or at least I don’t think I do. But I can tell you this, this product doesn’t smear!
So far, this stuff is AWESOME!
Oh, please ignore the spidery lashes. I was using the mascara LottaLash by Milani, and I forgot to use a lash comb to separate my lashes and remove all of the clumps.
Just in case you’re curious about LottaLash. I can honestly say that besides the clumps, LottaLash is an okay mascara. It lengthens, and it adds lots of volume to your lashes. But the clumps, those awful little clumps, now that’s the biggest problem with this mascara.

This is a liquid, double ended concealer/highlighter tube. And I like that this stuff blends easily, and it goes on smooth.
The coverage is okay. It covers just about every one of my skin imperfections, except for my really dark undereye circles. Well the concealer does minimize their appearance but it doesn’t hide them completely.
Actually, I have never found a concealer that completely covers the darkness under my eyes and trust me I’ve been looking. Maybe, my undereye circles are just too dark to hide. I mean I can make them look less noticeable but they never completely disappear.
I’m simply one of those girls that desperately needs to cover the darkness under their eyes with a good, long lasting concealer. So you can imagine how ecstatic I was that this stuff stays on all day. I didn’t have to do any touch-ups throughout the day. Yay!

Anyways, the coverage of the concealer is good but not perfect. The highlighter does an excellent job at brightening your eyes and face. Also if you want, you can use it under your eyeshadows as an eye primer.
